Candillo Z made a name for himself in international showjumping under Thomas Konle, standing out for his excellent technique and quick reflexes. This elegant Holsteiner son of Cassini I subsequently became a highly regarded sire. Common Sense competed with Mikhail Safronov at the European Championships in Mannheim and the World Cup Final in Gothenburg, while Cassabachus, Castana, Caballero and Cantos also achieved international success. Nine of his sons were licensed by the Holsteiner Verband, and eleven daughters were awarded the prestigious State Premium title in Germany. Through his dam Desy, Candillo Z carries the valuable Thoroughbred influence of Grundyman xx and the strong Holsteiner mare line 3558.
